Can garnishee be held accountable for not honoring court order?

Garnishee ignored two court ordered request to withhold payments from defendant's pay. Is it possible to hold garnishee for contempt after the defendant's bankruptcy is discharged?

If there was a bankruptcy stay, the garnishee should not have honored the garnishment, no matter what the state court said.
