Legal Question in Employment Law in Maryland

What local should my attorney practice in?

Hello;

I need some legal advice regarding my current employment and the issues that are coming to a head.

My company is headquartered in IL, we have a regional office in Arlington, Va and I work 99% of the time from my home office in Maryland.

In what location should my lawyer practice?

You live and work in MD and should have a MD attorney. If there are any EEOC issues, since you work in MD primarily, the MD EEOC office will be taking the claim. Since you live and work in montgomery county, you're going to want to bring any EEO claims in the Mont. Cnty Human Relations comission and if nec. file suit in state court. you want to avoid fed court if at all possible as an employment plaintiff, b/c you reside in the 4th circuit of the fed court system which is terrible for employment plaintiffs.

feel free to call if you want to chat about your options.
