termination of employment

when you are terminated can they hold your last pay check until their next pay (2 weeks later?)

Under the Maryland Wage Payment Act as well as the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act the employer must pay you at the next regular pay day. So, if that happens to be two weeks after the date of termination, that is going to be appropriate.
