Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Fathers chance @ custody being the primary care giver.

I stay at home with our four children (2-6yrs). My wife works and has the mortgage in her nams only. Being the primary care giver what are my chances of custody? And how will the house and assets be addressed?

Much is going to depend on what your lawyer can negotiate with your wife. You may get primary custody and be entitled to child support. Same with the house until the children are grown. In your situation, you ought to seek representation to protect your rights. Even though it may cost you money to hire an attorney, you may save a lot in the long run. In addition, you may be able to petition the court to have your wife pay for your attorney. Call me if you need help with this.

Being a primary caregiver is an important factor in the court's custody decision. However, it is important for you to meet with an experienced family law attorney to get an accurate assessment of your case.
