Legal Question in Personal Injury in Missouri

My girlfriend was assaulted in missouri by her sister during a vacation and hospitalized in missouri. Upon release the next day my girlfriend drove home back to texas. Can she still prosecute for assault or battery even though her sister went back home to las vegas and my girlfriend went home to texas?

As long as the statute of limitations has not expired, your girlfriend can probably sue in Missouri or Nevada.
