I'm guessing you were one of the many Shore-goers this weekend that the cops caught. Unfortunately, NJ DUI cases carry some real penalties, and they usually need to be tried (taken to trial). You also need to be sure that it gets handled in terms of reporting to the PA DMV. We handle these cases, and feel free to call me for a free consultation. However, NJ brings its cases to trial relatively quickly, so you will want to retain counsel as soon as possible. Try to give a call tomorrow if you can.

Unfortunately, New Jersey does not allow jury trials as Pennsylvania does. Beating a dwi in New Jersey is extremely difficult. There are certain factors which are important. Was the officer a New Jersey state trooper? If so, the trooper car had a
video camera with an audio capacity
which usually helps the defendant. What kind of breathalyzer was used to
test you?
Give me a call if you like.

Huh? If you don't have a NJ DL, how did they use your NJ DL number?
Penalties in NJ tend to be stiffer than in PA. You could be facing jail time, as well as hefty fines. Depending on your BAC, loss of your PA driver's license for up to a year or 18 months, depending on the charge. Plus, you'll lose your CDL for a year, regardless of whether there is a lesser suspension of your license.
You should contact an attorney licensed in NJ asap.
Re: Nj dui
You are facing heavy fines, multiple points on your driving license, many months loss of license and, if you have ever been convicted of dwi in the past, jail time. You should definitely consult with an attorney about this case. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
