Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

5 tickets for one left turn

Can a police officer mail you a ticket after the fact for a moving violation? What statute governts this? What if he was involved in the incident? How many tickets can you get for making one turn?

Re: 5 tickets for one left turn

A traffic summons can be mailed to a motorist, but

the officer must be able to prove the offense charged was committed by the person served by mail

with the traffic ticket. How was he "involved in

the incident"?

Call me if you like.

Yes, they can mail you the tickets as long as it within the time frame written into the court rules. Regarding all five tickets, I would have to see what they are for and get a better description of what actually happened before I could give you any definite advice on the tickets. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
