Legal Question in Employment Law in Ohio

Can I be fired if I refused to go with residents smoking because I am not a smoker.Nurse today send me and I said I am not going because I am not smoking.So she just pushed me signed a paper and go home or if not she will call to police.Is it legal?I am so sad and I think it's not fair.Thank you
