Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

Asking to be removed from a will

This person is planning on changing his will due to much family conflict. As a result, I am to be taken out of the will. The person may die before this change is made. If he dies first, may I say that I want to be removed, I do not want anything and to divide everything between the other people mentioned in the will????

Re: Asking to be removed from a will

You do not have to accept any property if this person dies before changing his will. If he should die, you can disclaim the property through the probate court, the property that you would have inherited would pass to other heirs as though you had predeceased him.
