Is there anything I can do legally to someone that is forging my name on hot checks with my checking account?

Forgery is a felony - so you could call the DA. As far a lawsuit against the forger, certainly you have one, but I don't know what you could collect from someone who is stealing money to begin with. If this person has great assets somewhere, you might be able to seize those if you could obtain a judgment. You might have a lawsuit against the bank if you are being charged these bad checks against your account. Contact me if you have any questions.
