Hi

I live in Canada. My father died in nov2007, my sister was appointed

Personal Representative of the estate - without my knowledge- and decided she was going to my my fathers house, this is on condition of selling her house, of course this has not happened and the value of my fathers house keeps on going down, also all the liquid assets of the estate will not be released until the house has sold, so my question is can i d anything about this? idealy i would like to see the house sold at auction, we have not had the chance to let anyone else look at the house, bid...or do anything

Re: estate uk

The personal representative cannot take any benefit from an estate without the consent of all the beneficiaries. Your sister must immediately sell the house and account for the proceeds and account for the value of the loss and account for her personal use of the assets, unless she is the sole beneficiary of the estate.
