sick with a doctors note

i missed 3 days of work due to an illness returned to work with doctors note and they fired me.

One problem with the question is that you do not supply sufficient facts with which to make a legal opinion. Why were you sick? Was it something from the job? What are the policies at your employment regarding sickness? Did you call and inform them that you were sick? Did you call each day you were sick? These are only the first of many questions I would ask before I would risk rendering an opinion on your case... I would have rejected this question had it not already been approved.

I assume you are asking what rights you have. In Utah you can apply for unemployment compensation. Your employer will have a chance to object, which means that if the employer can show it had good cause to fire you that your benefits may be denied. You can appeal any initial decision.
