Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Harassment of contractors

I work for a contracting company and do software development on-site for a customer. On of the customer's employees I believe is threatened by my performance and has been trying to ''sink'' me. His latest move involved an evaluation of my work on a project that nobody else has reviewed and that has caused repercussions for me and have been asked to move out of my office into a different one. I was not given the chance to defend myself and was never approached by senior staff. My project manager is having one of our own guys review my work to validate the other guy's claim. If he is making things up, do I have a legal stance to sue? Either way, I am planning on giving my two-weeks notice here shortly.

Re: Harassment of contractors

I would doubt it, particularly, if you're not currently working under the protection of an employment contract.

Re: Harassment of contractors

If false statments are being made that injure your reputation, or if a false review is given, you may have a claim for business slander.
