Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Paycheck timeframe

Is a company legally obligated to reissue a paycheck to an employee who was due to be paid on the 15th and 2 weeks later still had not received a check or an explanation as to why they had not received their paycheck. The paycheck was being mailed from the same county and normally something mailed from this office arrives within 2 days (at he most)?

Re: Paycheck timeframe

Yes, if the check has, somehow, been lost in the mail, or, for whatever reason, is not available to be cashed by the employee, the company should reissue the check, after taking measures to cancel the previous one.
