Re: immagration

There are two ways to go about this:

1. You can make an application for your BF while he is in England, which will allow him to come here, marry you, and apply for his green card.

or

2. You can apply for his green card while he is here, as long as you can demonstrate that he did not come here for the specific reason of marrying you.

Be aware that you will need to prove to USCIS that you have enough income to support you and your husband-to-be. You will need to show at least $17,500 per year, assuming that there are only two people in your household.

You can apply for a fiancee visa for your future spouse or, get married and then submit the petition. Either way, you should consult with an attorney who can better guide you and explain this process to you. In terms of the affidavit of support, you will have to demonstrate that your income meets the poverty guidelines. If it does not, you will need a co-sponsor who is willing to provide income taxes/proof of income that meets the guidelines;who is willing to sign the affidavit of support and who can demonstrate that he/she is a legal permanent resident or citizen of the USA. If you have any questions or would like to discuss further in private, do not hesitate to contact me. Good luck!
