Legal Question in Employment Law in Missouri

Truck Driving School

We feel that we were completely scammed by a truck driving school and one of the employers in their ''network'' of trucking companies. We alledge that these companies are guilty of false advertising, intentional fraudulent misrepresentation in hiring, and other deceptive and unethical practices. What can we do to get out of the one year contract with the employer without paying the exorbitant tuition we'll be stuck with?

Re: Truck Driving School

I do not have enough facts to offer you any type of recommendation as to how you should proceed. I would recommend that you discuss this situation with an attorney who can evaluate whether or not you are contractually obligated to pay the truck driving school. If there was no true "meeting of the minds" between you and the school, then the contract may not be valid. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to discuss further.
