Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio

my home is in foreclosure, the bank changed the locks and took my pets after I left my home on Thursday. When I came back I couldn't get in. They said they didn't know it was occupied. They never sent me any notice. They are sending me my keys in the mail, so i can't even get into my home until monday or later. They have no idea where my animals are and can't help me with that at all. I have had my Willow for 8 years, she is like a child to me. I filed a police report, but I need to know if there is anything else I can do. The county sheriff said I should contact an attorney. My cats can't be replaced. They are my babies, and some of my things were broken and outside, so they probably broke my things inside as well, but I won't be able to find out until my keys come.

Dear Troubled: Call a locksmith to help you get into your home at once. Inventory everything, and make a Police Report of everything missing, broken, damaged, etc., including your pets. Then ,retain an experienced Attorney to represent you ASAP and to bring charges against the bank for your loss, loss of use, pets, trespass, etc. Good luck. sincerely, J. Norman Stark
