Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio

my neighbor keeps calling the humane society saying I have abandoned my animals. She calls at least 3 times a month. She has approached my husband about my dog barking at night and left a letter in my door. I am treating my animals very well, but she won't stop tormenting me. She says they don't have access to food or water and the humane officers come out look at my animals and say they look healthy and happy and close the case, then she starts it back up and they have to start another case and the cycle just continues. Her son is a police officer and he even had the county prosecutioners office call the humane society to try to get them to come into my home when I am away and take my animals. They are my babies and I don't know what to do. Is there anything I can do?

Dear Harassed Neighbor: Retain legal counsel, and seek a Court-ordered injunction to prevent your neighbor from making and bringing uncalled for complaints against you.

You also may wish to consider an action (lawsuit) for unfounded complaints, which constitute tortious interference, slander, and many others potentially. Consult an Attorney ASAP.

Good luck!

Sincerely, J. norman Stark, Cleveland, Ohio.
