Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Tennessee

Out of State Will

I have a valid will from NJ when I lived there. I just moved to TN. Is the NJ will valid in TN?

How about a Dur Pow of Att and Living will from NJ? Are they good in TN?

First, I must start by saying that I am giving you a general opinion. In order to give you advice on what should definitely be done, I would need to actually review your documents. That being said, your Will should be valid although I would recommend adding a codicil to it so that it would be governed by Tennessee law. I would definitely update your Powers of Attorney so that they are state specific to Tennessee.
