Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

Father needs help! Mother seeking custody of my daughter!

I was divorced in 1994 and awarded custody of my little girl. Once my little girl was old enough to start school a verbal agreement was made between me and my ex-wife's mother (my daughter's grandmother), for my daughter to stay with her during the school week and I have her during the weekends. We came to this agreement because I have to be at work at 5:00 in the mornings and I get off late at night. Last week I get papers from the court that says that my ex-wife is seeking custody because my daughter has been living with her since school has started and that I am making plans to move out of state with my daughter. My ex-wife has submitted school enrollment forms for 1999 and 2001. What can I do to keep my ex-wife from winning custody of my child back?
