Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

Hello I had back surgery on April 2 2012. My Dr. Inserted screws in my back from Lumbar 1 to Lumbar 5. 10 screws were inserted the top screw in Lumbar 1 on the left side fracture the bone. I advised me Dr. that I was still having pain in my back. The Dr. finally did a xray of my back and found the fracture. The Dr. waited until September of 2013 to fix the fracture. I could hardly walk at that time. The fracture caused by thoracic t 12 to become misaligned. This caused complete numbness and loss of feeling in my legs. The surgery performed in September 2013 went from my thoracic t 10 down to s 1. I am currently having complete numbness in both legs.

Please let me know if you think I might have a medical malpractice case

The issue whether this is a medical malpractice is a medical one not a legal one. Is there a doctor that states that something that the surgeon did was done wrong or failed to do something that caused the fractures. I am aware that fractures like these occur in the absence of negligence too. That is the first inquiry and likely requires you to see another physician to assess that circumstance. You can certainly reach out to an attorney now as well who is familiar with medical malpractice cases.
