Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

received a letter from my auto insurance co. about a claim they are handling. it stated that the claim could exceed my policy bodily injury limit 10/20 and that i have the right to attain a lawyer. they state they are not telling me to do this but this is my right. and if i there is a law suit to contact them. if i do not i will jepordize things with the insurance company. please advice. thank you T Smith

You need to see an attorney who specializes in "no-fault" auto. If the claim against you exceeds your policy limits, you are liable for the excess. This is the reason that persons who have a job, money or assets should be sure that they have plenty of coverage for liability under their auto AND homeowner's insurance policies.
