Legal Question in Employment Law in Alabama

Final Paycheck

It has been two months since I voluntarily quit my last job and I still haven't recieved my final paycheck from the employer. When I contacted them, I was told that they held the check for a ''period of time'' to see if I was going to drive over to the plant and pick it up. I informed the person I was talking to (who is in charge of payroll for the company) that I would like to have my check mailed to me and she agreed to that. After a few more weeks of no check, I called to company again and was told that I hadn't turned in my key to the office, and that I needed to contact the plant manager about it. After doing so, the key was located right were I said it was and the plant manager said (after verifying my mailing address) that he would put a stamp on my check and put it in the mail. It has now been two more weeks since I made the last phone call and still no check. What can I do from here?

Re: Final Paycheck

Where are you located? If you are anywhere in Northern or Middle part of Alabama, please give me a call. The company has violated the law blatantly, and they owe you double your paycheck. I do these kinds of cases routinely, and am happy to do them merely for the statutory attorney fees that the Defendant has to pay for violating this law. You can keep the double pay that they owe you. My number is 205-458-1100. Please give me a call anytime on Monday, and I'd be happy to discuss this further with you.
